Conditional Limit is the OnPlan term for creating a set of parameters that can be used to determine a severity level based on the length entry (Crack Length). To create a conditional limit
- Create a Custom Category (if not already created). See below
- Create a Conditional Limit to set the parameters.
Create a Custom Category
A custom category is created with the required number of ranges required around crack length. Typically there is one category used for many different crack ranges. Use the following steps to create the custom category.
NOTE: Before creating a category, search the Custom Category List first to ensure the category doesn't exist.
1. Navigate using the menu to Data Admin > Limits > Custom Category
2. Click New to add a new category. The Create Limit Category pop-up will be displayed.
3. Complete the following fields
- Name - Enter the name (used in searches)
- Limit Category - Select Condition List (Makes the list display for Structural Limits)
- Question - Enter the name. Parameters are set against each name. This name is displayed on the app for the crack.
- Click to add a row, click to delete a row.
- Defect - Not used for conditional list.
- Colour - Select the colour for the text that will be displayed on the app for the crack.
- Click to add the Custom Category.
Create a Condition Limit
Once a custom category exists, many condition limits can be created with the varying parameters for different crack lengths. Use the following steps to create a Condition Limit
1. Navigate using the menu to Data Admin > Limits
2. Click New to add a new limit. The Create Limit Category pop-up will be displayed.
3. Complete the following fields
- Name - Enter the name (used in searches)
- Description - Enter the description (used in searches)
- Limit Category - Select Custom Category that was created
- Criteria - Select the appropriate criteria of Equal To, Between, Greater Than, Less Than
- Lower & Upper - Will display depending on the criteria. Enter the number value (for crack length)
- Click to add the Conditional Limit.
